At Farmfair International, the health and safety of our exhibitors, staff, attendees and partners is our number one priority. Farmfair International 2021 will proceed in accordance with all public health protocols and requirements set forth by the City of Edmonton and the Government of Alberta at the time of the event.

Restrictions Exemption Program

Farmfair International will proceed in accordance with the Government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program, as such all participants must provide proof of full vaccination or documentation of medical exemption or a privately acquired negative COVID-19 test. To be eligible to participate in Farmfair International, all people aged 12 and older must have:

  • Both vaccine doses must be completed 14 days or more prior the participants arrival at Farmfair International, or
  • Negative COVID-19 tests must be privately paid and Health Canada approved rapid antigen, rapid PCR or lab-based PCR tests completed within 72 hours before accessing Farmfair International.

In Addition, Farmfair International will provide on-site COVID-19 rapid testing during the event. The cost will be $20 per test.

Masks

As per City of Edmonton Bylaw 19408 and recent Government of Alberta mandates, masks are currently mandatory within all indoor public spaces in Alberta. This means that masks are mandatory within all publicly accessible locations of the Edmonton EXPO Centre and Farmfair International.

Refunds

Full refunds will be provided if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 or if any exhibitor cannot attend or participate due to COVID-19.

What protocols will be in place for Farmfair International 2021?
Farmfair International will proceed in accordance with the Government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program, which states that all vaccine-eligible attendees must provide proof of full vaccination or a privately acquired negative COVID-19 test (taken within 72 hours of accessing Farmfair International).

When does my last vaccine dose need to be administered by to access Farmfair International?
Both vaccine doses must be completed 14 days or more prior to the start of Farmfair International (October 27 or earlier).

Where can I access my proof of vaccination?
Vaccine eligible individuals can access their COVID-19 immunization records through the Government of Alberta’s website www.albertavaccinerecord.ca or MyHealth Records. To avoid delays, please have your vaccination records easy to access when you arrive to Farmfair International.

What if I am not fully vaccinated?
All vaccine-eligible exhibitors and attendees must be fully vaccinated (two doses with at least two weeks passed since last dose) to access Farmfair International. For those who are not yet fully vaccinated, proof of a privately acquired negative COVID-19 test (taken within 72 hours of the event) will be mandatory to attend Farmfair International.

What type of negative COVID-19 test must I show?
Negative COVID-19 tests must be privately paid Health Canada approved rapid antigen, rapid PCR, or lab-based PCR tests completed within 72 hours of accessing Farmfair International. Tests must not be from Alberta Health Services or Alberta Precision Laboratories.

How long will my proof of negative COVID-19 test result be valid for?
Negative COVID-19 test results will be valid for 72 hours from the time the test was administered.

Will masks be mandatory?
As per City of Edmonton Bylaw 19408 and Government of Alberta mandates, masks are currently mandatory within all public spaces in Alberta, even within the Restrictions Exemption Program. This means that masks are mandatory at Farmfair International.

What if I cannot wear a mask?
Masking exemptions are available for those two years old and under and anyone unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition. If you are unable to wear a mask due to medical reasons, you must provide a medical exemption letter from an authorized health professional to be exempt from mask wearing at Farmfair International.

Medical exemption letters must be presented upon arrival to Farmfair International and must be from an authorized nurse practitioner, physician or psychologist. See Government of Alberta masking requirements for more information.

Are masks required when eating/drinking?
You may remove your mask to eat or drink in designated food and beverage service areas throughout Farmfair International.

What is the exhibitor refund policy?
Full refunds will be provided if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 or if any exhibitor cannot attend due to COVID-19.
