Farmfair International celebrates the future of the agriculture industry with Junior Scholarships

EDMONTON, AB – Miller Wilson Angus’ DMM Miss Essence – 14Y was this year’s Supreme Champion Female and Popular Meadows Angus’ HF Thunderbird 146Y was this year’s Supreme Champion Bull at the prestigious Alberta Supreme Show presented by Rafter DM Trailers and RAM on November 9 during Farmfair International at Northlands. More than $130,000 in cash and prizes were awared including a new RAM truck for each of the champions. Newly elected Edmonton Mayor, Don Iveson had the honour of slapping the Grand Champions during the Alberta Supreme which showcases the best in purebred cattle.

Since 2011, Farmfair International has been pleased to partner with the Olds Fall Classic and Lloydminster Stockade Round-up to create the Alberta Supreme Show, which showcases breed champions from all three of the top cattle shows in Alberta to name two Alberta Supreme Grand Champions. The Grand Champions from all breeds and their owners compete head to head for the Alberta Supreme Grand Champion titles.

In addition to this year’s Alberta Supreme Grand Champions, Northlands also honoured families and individuals for their 40-year commitment to Farmfair International with a buckle presentation at the Alberta Supreme Show:

As a community service organization with strong roots in agriculture, Northlands is dedicated to fostering the continual growth of future industry leaders. As a commitment to continued support and development of tomorrow’s industry professionals, thousands of dollars in Junior Northlands Scholarships were given away at the Alberta Supreme Show. Northlands would like to congratulate the following Junior Scholarship winners:
