We are pleased to announce that FFI 2022 will be the exclusive host of the prestigious global competition, Champion of the World for British & European breeds! We look forward to welcoming the 18 winners from 9 countries, representing 9 breeds. In 2021, there were over 1900 entries entered representing 91 countries featuring 16 breeds.

Farmfair International started hosting the Champion of the World Program in 2018. The Houston Stock Show is the host of the Bos Indicus breeds and Wagyu winners. The Champion of the World Competition was founded in 2012 to promote awareness, goodwill, and trade between and within cattle producing countries.

Cattle qualify for Champion of the World by winning their country’s premier breed show in each of their respective regions; North America, South America, Europe, and Asia/Africa. Judges from each region then select regional winners who then qualify to compete in the overall Champion of the World Competition. Winning Bulls are named Champion of the World and winning females are given the Miss World title.

Although this awarding of World Champions is not scientific, it requires animals to be bred well, fed well, fitted well, and photographed well. The initial qualification of being a country’s premier Breed Champion ensures that it is only quality that enters the competition.

Presentations during the week at FFI will reward these breeders for their success. Mark your calendar to join us as we celebrate our cattle industry here at home and on a global stage from November 9-12, 2022.
